Snapshot online: In-person completion via unique link

Each child's unique Snapshot entry link can be accessed on the Snapshot screen, for any group in an organization that has online Snapshot enabled.

Paste the link into a browser tab on a tablet or laptop during your session, visit, meeting, or appointment to allow the family to quickly complete the assessment.

Why use this option?

First time completion

Completing the Snapshot in person via a child's unique link can be a good way to introduce families to the Snapshot Online experience before they receive their first text.

The caregiver will see the same Snapshot format and follow the same steps they will later experience when receiving a texted or emailed link. They'll have the opportunity to ask you questions, which may help them feel more confident in filling out the next one on their own.

No smartphone or email option

For families who don't have access to a smartphone or email, filling the Snapshot out on a tablet instead of on paper saves time and prevents errors. The answers are automatically scored and posted - no paper form or data entry required.

1. Copy the Snapshot entry link for the child.

On the Snapshot screen find the child and copy his or her the unique Snapshot Entry Link URL.

(If the Snapshot Entry Link URL column is not displayed, use the column selector to add it to the display.)

Remember: Each child has a unique link, and data entered on a child's link will be automatically assigned to that child. Be sure to copy the right link!

3. Log out of LENA Online.

To protect the privacy of other participants, be sure you aren't logged in to LENA on the computer or tablet given to the parent.

4. Have the caregiver to complete the Snapshot on the tablet or computer.

The process is exactly the same as if the caregiver had received the link on their smartphone – including instructions.
